What is AYSO’s EPIC Program?
The mission of the AYSO Everyone Plays In our Community (EPIC) is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams.
Who is it for?
Everyone Plays In our Community (EPIC) team(s) are for players with special needs. Residence in the Chula Vista/Bonita area is not required. Any child wishing to learn about soccer is welcome.
How does it work?
AYSO EPIC Teams are split into an Older and Younger Division, both under the leadership of volunteer coaches. This program will be run with the support of paid trainers.
When will it take place?
EPIC is offered in the Fall season only.
Where will it be?
Practices for the EPIC team have historically been held at Marisol Park. We will finalize and confirm the park location once we get it from the city. All AYSO EPIC teams are traveling teams. They play games on their home fields and alternate traveling to games with other AYSO EPIC teams in La Mesa, El Cajon, and Tierrasanta. Teams may also play tournaments in San Clemente and Santee.
What is the cost?
Fee is $50 total. This registration fee includes, uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), pictures and insurance.
